Primary Objective of the Position:  The Roll & Press Brake Operator, takes a variety of sheet metal and programs, loads, and runs it through the Roll or Press Brake, following the appropriate process to roll material into specified shapes based on layout drawings. 


Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Provides Roll & Press Brake service to the fabrication stations by rolling or breaking material to length and shape from sheet stock utilizing engineered drawings.  
  • Inspects, handles, and stores sheet stock in sheet stock locations, utilizing overhead cranes and forklift.  
  • Transfers finished material to designated work area within the fabrication shop. 
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment in designated work area. 
  • Issues material to each job that is rolled utilizing the appropriate inventory check-out process.  
  • General machinery maintenance checks on the Roll & Press Brake including cleaning, adding, and monitoring.
  • Ensures a safe work environment by following safety requirements and policies. 
  • Performs other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
