Heartline Staffing is recruiting an Electrical Estimator for a construction opportunity in Canoga Park, California. This role is responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects while working closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, project management, engineering, and field leadership.

Candidates should have direct electrical estimating experience and the technical ability to translate drawings, specifications, labor requirements, and field conditions into competitive and comprehensive project estimates.

COMPENSATION
• $100,000–$175,000 annual salary
• Annual performance bonus

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Review building plans, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine material, equipment, and labor requirements.
• Prepare detailed project take-offs and electrical cost estimates.
• Calculate total project costs using material pricing, subcontractor bids, labor requirements, and specialized equipment costs.
• Prepare and present formal bid proposals.
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Occasionally visit project sites to assess field conditions and project risks.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering and field leadership to ensure labor and productivity assumptions reflect actual site conditions.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Estimate commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Estimate specialized electrical equipment including generators, UPS systems, and motor services.
• Utilize Bluebeam and electrical estimating software to prepare bids and take-offs.
• Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes for project feasibility and value.
• Support client-facing bid discussions and project-estimating presentations.

Requirements

Requirements
• 3–7 years of electrical estimating experience within commercial or industrial construction REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and California building standards REQUIRED
• Experience performing electrical project take-offs and cost estimates REQUIRED
• Proficiency with electrical estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or a comparable platform REQUIRED
• Proficiency with Bluebeam REQUIRED
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills REQUIRED
• Strong professional communication skills for client-facing interactions REQUIRED
• Must be local to the Canoga Park, CA area REQUIRED
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident REQUIRED

Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering
• Journeyman or Foreman background combined with electrical estimating experience
• Field-to-office career progression providing practical knowledge of labor costs, installation methods, and site logistics
