About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist – Procurement to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Manage procurement activities for goods and services in line with operational requirements, approved budgets, and company policies.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and support price and commercial negotiations to achieve best value.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure all procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and properly approved.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, delivery timelines, and pending requirements, and follow up on any delays or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, quotations, contracts, and procurement-related documentation.
  • Support supplier performance reviews and assist in identifying reliable and cost-effective sourcing options.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are fully compliant with Jumeirah’s internal procurement policies, approval processes, delegated authorities, and applicable procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness for procurement transactions in accordance with internal control requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management skills.
  • Good organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good understanding of procurement compliance, internal controls, and approval procedures.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in English & Arabic (verbal & written).
