Overall purpose of the Job

As an Associate within our Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) division, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless onboarding and lifecycle experience for corporate and institutional clients across our Global Corporate & Investment Banking business. Working closely with Relationship Managers, Product Teams, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Credit teams, you will coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities, support ongoing client lifecycle events, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and client experience.

The role includes the following

  • Managing and coordinating the end-to-end onboarding of new clients and new products for existing clients.
  • Acting as a key point of contact between front office teams, operations, compliance, legal, credit, and clients throughout the onboarding process.
  • Supporting a broad range of banking products, including loans, deposits, FX, guarantees, trade finance, derivatives, securitisation, and current accounts.
  • Managing client lifecycle events such as mandate changes, fee amendments, account maintenance, and client offboarding activities.
  • Ensuring timely completion of regulatory and compliance requirements and monitoring outstanding conditions and controls.
  • Supporting Relationship Managers and Product Teams with credit application preparation, client reviews, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Preparing management information (MI), reporting, presentations, and maintaining accurate internal records and databases.
  • Driving operational excellence by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements that increase speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple European locations to standardise processes and share best practices.
  • Acting as a role model within the team by supporting junior colleagues, sharing expertise, and contributing to team projects and initiatives

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, together with relevant experience in banking, financial services, client onboarding, or client lifecycle management.
  • A strong understanding of corporate and investment banking products, client onboarding processes, and applicable regulatory requirements, including KYC and related compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across front office, operations, compliance, legal, and external clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive mindset and a focus on delivering practical solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse data, prepare reports, and present information clearly.
  • A highly organised and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain a high standard of accuracy and client service.
