We are also a long-term supplier to several world-renowned prime defense contractors and have extensive experience working directly with US Air Force, US Navy, US DHS, and NATO; as well as military and civilian customers around the world. The LightWave S-Band, Solid-State Primary Surveillance Radar fuses C Speed's family of LightWave radar subsystems into a low cost, high-performance radar system. LightWave is a flexible 360° air surveillance platform that can operate in either Low or High PRF modes. It is well-suited to several missions including In-Fill / Gap-Fill, Wind Turbine Radar Interference Mitigation (WTRIM), Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS), addressing Cumulative Effect, and more. When in High PRF, Doppler configuration it is an extremely effective sensor that permits very difficult problems to be solved – such as mitigating high clutter effects that plague traditional radar systems.

This role supports the day-to-day administrative, inventory, and production activities that help keep our Liverpool operations organized, accurate, and moving efficiently.


The Role

Protora is hiring a Production & Inventory Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for our production and inventory activities in Liverpool, NY. This role is primarily focused on documentation, data entry, recordkeeping, coordination, and inventory support, with additional hands-on assistance in shipping/receiving and light production or assembly as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computer systems and data, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


What You'll Do

• Maintain accurate production, inventory, warehouse, and operational records and supporting documentation.

• Enter, update, and reconcile information in inventory, ERP/WMS, and related business systems; assist with routine reports and data accuracy.

• Prepare, organize, and maintain work orders, inventory records, shipping/receiving documents, and other production-related files.

• Support day-to-day coordination and communication of production and inventory activities, following up on information, materials, and documentation as needed.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory transactions, cycle counts, reconciliations, material movement, and resolution of discrepancies.

• Assist with receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities and documentation, stocking materials, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory.

• Prepare shipping documentation and support packaging, outbound shipments, carrier coordination, and related recordkeeping.

• Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient production and inventory area, including materials, supplies, and workspaces.

• Provide light hands-on production and assembly support as needed, following established work instructions, procedures, and quality requirements.

Requirements

   

What You Bring

• 2+ years of administrative, operations, production support, inventory, warehouse administration, or related experience.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with comfort learning new systems and tools.

• Experience with data entry, recordkeeping, documentation, and maintaining accurate information.

• Experience with inventory, ERP, WMS, or similar business systems preferred.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assignments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.

• Experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or a production environment preferred; hands-on assembly experience is a plus.

• Comfort working in a combined office, production, and warehouse environment and providing hands-on operational support as needed.


Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to alternate between seated administrative work and standing/walking throughout the production and warehouse areas. 

• Ability to perform occasional hands-on production or assembly tasks requiring gripping, repetitive motion, and fine manipulation of small parts and tools. 

• Regular lifting, carrying, and positioning of up to 50 lbs. (e.g., components, cartons, subassemblies, and supplies), with assistance or equipment for heavier items.

• Exposure to typical warehouse conditions, including variable temperatures and moderate noise.

• Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime during peak periods.

• Hourly Rate: $23-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
