Licensed Behavior Specialist

About the Role

SPIN is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Licensed Behavior Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will partner with children, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement behavior support strategies that promote meaningful growth, independence, and improved quality of life.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, analytical, and passionate about using evidence-based practices to support individuals with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments, environmental assessments, and skills assessments to identify individual strengths, needs, and appropriate interventions.
  • Provide consultation, training, and guidance to families, caregivers, educational personnel, and support staff regarding behavioral strategies and treatment implementation.
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop person-centered plans that support informed choice and meaningful outcomes.
  • Analyze behavioral and programmatic data to evaluate progress and recommend modifications to intervention strategies.
  • Promote the development of adaptive skills, coping skills, independence, community participation, and meaningful relationships.
  • Identify and coordinate community resources and supports to enhance individual outcomes and quality of life.
  • Participate in and facilitate team meetings, including emergency or crisis planning meetings, as appropriate.
  • Complete required assessments, reports, clinical documentation, and progress updates within established timeframes.
  • Conduct treatment fidelity reviews and provide coaching to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support accurate implementation of treatment plans.
  • Assist with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) assessments and related training activities.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, professional ethics, licensing standards, organizational policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • May provide supervision to employees pursuing BCBA certification, when applicable.

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • Completion of or active enrollment in a certificate program or graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Licensed in Pennsylvania as a Behavior Specialist or another qualifying license eligible to provide Behavioral Consultation Services.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and training others on ABA programs and behavioral interventions.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and current automobile insurance.
  • Commitment to maintaining required licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
