About the Role

California Faucets is looking to bring on a talented 1st Shift Returns Processor. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA warehouse. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 5:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m.


The Returns Processor is responsible for processing all the incoming returned products. In this role, the Returns Processor will: 

  • Open, inspect, clean, water test, and re-box returned products for resale.
  • Disassemble returned products to recover sub-assembly component pieces for further use.
  • Transfer finished products and components into inventory. 
  • Maintain return inventory accuracy.
  • Email customer service on any returns, warranty or refused shipment inquiries new and aging.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

The Following Personal Attributes/Skills are Required:

  • Adaptability/flexibility when encountering problems. Must be able to communicate, solve problems, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspect for small defects.
  • Ability to match part numbers and locations to accurately put parts away into locations.
  • Ability to use hand tools to disassemble parts.
  • Ability to understand and take verbal direction from other employees in the department. 
  • Ability to operate a forklift is required. 
  • Ability to work overtime as needed. 

Environmental and Safety Considerations:

  • Possible exposure to heat, cold, dust, and moderate noise when working indoors.
  • May be required to work with hand tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.       

                

People Interface:


The position requires contact primarily within the department on routine matters. Contact outside the Shipping Department is minimal.


Decision Making:

The position requires working from detailed instructions as well as the use of judgment to plan and perform general decisions to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.


Supervision Received:

Under general supervision, assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instruction on non-routine problems.


Accountabilities:

After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work or units completed per shift.


Education and Experience:

The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Someone entering this position should have at least six (6) months experience performing similar work in a related field.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and use hands to finger. The employee is frequently required to stand extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. The employee will be required to lift/carry 1-25 pounds routinely.
