About the Role:
The BVT Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the execution and analysis of Build Verification Tests (BVT). This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated and manual test suites that validate software builds before they proceed to further stages of development or release. The analyst collaborates closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to identify defects early and provide actionable insights that improve product stability. By continuously monitoring build health and test results, the BVT Analyst helps reduce integration issues and accelerates the delivery pipeline. Ultimately, this role ensures that only high-quality builds are promoted, supporting the organization's commitment to delivering robust software solutions to customers.

- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working in a DevOps environment.
- Certifications related to software testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain Build Verification Test cases to validate new software builds.
- Analyze test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in the build process.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Automate repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and coverage of BVT suites.
- Monitor build pipelines and provide regular reports on build quality and test outcomes to stakeholders.
Skills:
The required skills enable the BVT Analyst to design and execute effective test cases that ensure software build integrity. Proficiency in scripting languages is essential for automating tests, which increases efficiency and reduces manual effort. Familiarity with CI/CD tools allows the analyst to integrate testing seamlessly into the build pipeline, providing timely feedback to development teams. Analytical skills are used daily to interpret test results, identify root causes of failures, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred skills such as knowledge of automation frameworks and version control systems further enhance the analyst’s ability to maintain robust and scalable testing processes that support continuous delivery.
