About The Company
We’re &Open, the secret sauce in your tech stack. We help you make connections, nurture relationships and ultimately grow revenue — and we do it with gifting. But a secret sauce is no good on its own: it’s only there to enhance the main event. That’s why we’re not just a product, we’re your partner. For press enquiries get in touch at press@andopen.co
About the Role

About &Open

We're the global gifting platform for companies that care.

Our platform sources and sends gifts globally at scale, while our team supports with taste, thought and attention to detail. From creative and sourcing, to logistics + fulfilment, buying and sending - the &Open platform and integrations takes care of it all.

As a B Corp, we're all about less but better gifting. At the end of the day, it's not how much you send, it's how you make people feel that matters.

Our customers include OpenAI, HubSpot, Stripe, Canva, Notion, Linear, Clay and many more.

About the team

You'll lead and grow our product and design team.

You'll report to our CEO, and sit on the leadership team. Working directly with our CTO, and our Head of Engineering, you’ll decide what we build and how. A key relationship will be working closely with our Client Success team and VP of Growth and Marketing.

About the role

The corporate gifting sector is vast and fragmented, without a defined market leader—and our goal is to capture that position.

Many of the world's best brands already use &Open to take care of their gifting and merchandise. Our product has helped them bridge the confusing complexity of global gifting.  The next stage is far bigger and more interesting.  AI is changing how work gets done, and we are bringing gifting inside the tools and workflows our customers already use, people and agents in sync.

We've built a strong product practice, with a roadmap tied to company goals and a clear path from idea to shipped outcome. We look to innovate and iterate with a bias to action and rapid impact.  We're hiring our first Chief Product Officer to lead that.

Your job will be to make &O the product that defines the category. That bridges complexity quantitative and qualitative thinking, with technology ground in the human experience.

We're still a scale-up, so it is all about leadership with action, you'll be expected roll up your sleeves when it matters, whether that's a key customer call, the first brief on a new bet or simply fixing an issue and deploying the repair yourself.

What you'll do?

Strategy and roadmap
  • Be obsessive about the gifting experience, from the moment a sender picks a gift to the moment a recipient opens it, and use the product to make every step better.
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap, and resequence it with the leadership team as priorities change
  • Turn incoming ideas and customer asks into clear trade-offs: what we do, what moves, and what we say no to
  • Set success metrics and own the framework that shows whether product is working, from activation to gift volume to the recipient experience

Discovery and delivery
  • Define how &Open takes an idea from discovery to release, including how we scope work, write product briefs and decide what ships
  • Set the standard for discovery and briefs, and step in personally on the projects that matter most
  • Work with engineering and design from scoping through to release
  • Work with operations so product decisions hold up across suppliers, fulfillment and global shipping
  • Build the feedback loop so what customers tell Sales, Client Success and Support shapes the roadmap

Customers and go-to-market
  • Be the face of &Open's product on key customer and partner calls, from enterprise deals and renewals to strategic partnerships, and go deep on technical questions when they come up
  • Partner with Marketing on positioning, launches and product marketing in particular, so every release drives adoption and time to value for our customers
  • Equip our go-to-market team to sell the product and the roadmap, with clear positioning, launch plans and the training and materials they need.

Team and leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing product and design team: hire, develop, and set the bar for what great product work looks like at &Open
  • Make the product team AI-native, in how we build as well as what we build, and help lead how the wider company utilizes AI
  • Report product progress to leadership each week and to the board each quarter
  • Pull and analyze product data yourself, and share a monthly metrics review

In your first 30 days
  • A published roadmap the whole company understands and uses
  • Clear product metrics, reported to leadership and the board
  • Measurable progress on the top priorities, shipped and adopted by customers

What you'll need

Experience
  • You've led product for an enterprise B2B platform with APIs or integrations into the tools customers already use
  • You've built and scaled product teams, including hiring and developing product leaders
  • You've set product strategy at executive level and helped take a company through a stage of rapid growth
  • You've shipped AI-powered features to customers, ideally agents or MCP integrations, and seen how they're used beyond the demo
  • You know how to take what one large customer asks for and turn it into something every customer can use
  • Experience with marketplaces, or products with physical operations behind them, is a strong plus

Skills
  • You use AI tools every day, and you understand how MCP servers, agents and integrations fit together
  • You can query product data yourself and write up what it means
  • You write and communicate clearly, from a product brief to a board paper

How you work
  • You're comfortable in front of enterprise customers, and in front of a board
  • You can hold a position with evidence when the plan is under pressure
  • You lead from the front, and you're happy to roll up your sleeves when it counts
  • You can hold the long-term vision and the detail at the same time

The interview process
Our process is fairly speedy. Most candidates get through it in under three weeks, and we'll give you a clear decision quickly. We'll tell you every stage up front, including any exercise, so you can plan your time.
