Role overview 

This is an opportunity to join FRP's professional support team in East Anglia. Based in Norwich, the Office Manager / Support will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of an office of more than 25 people, while providing proactive administrative and organisational support to local partners and the wider team across Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich. 

The role combines office management, administration, client service and business development support. The successful candidate will be a trusted point of contact who is professional, discreet and organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy office environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage front of house, telephone enquiries, incoming and outgoing post, couriers and day-to-day office administration 
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming office environment, ensuring reception, meeting rooms and shared areas are clean, well presented and appropriately stocked 
  • Manage kitchen supplies, stationery, repeat orders and relationships with external suppliers 
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including room bookings, virtual arrangements, agendas, minutes and action logs 
  • Provide proactive administrative support to local partners and the wider team, including correspondence, reports, presentations, deadline tracking and support during peak periods 
  • Assist with billing administration, invoices, expenses and client-related processes 
  • Support client onboarding and engagement administration, including file openings, anti-money laundering checks and conflict checks where required 
  • Maintain Microsoft Dynamics CRM and contact databases 
  • Support client meetings, hospitality, marketing, events and wider business development activity 
  • Undertake first aid and fire marshal responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in office management or workplace administration, including responsibility for office operations and external suppliers 
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders and wider teams, ideally within a professional services environment 
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time 
  • Experience using CRM systems and document management platforms is desirable 
  • Experience supporting business development, events or proposal activity is desirable 
  • Knowledge of consultancy or professional services operations is desirable 

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and manage changing priorities calmly 
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills 
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint and Copilot is desirable
