Job Title: On-Call Site Coordinator Weekends only (Day or Night) Part-time

Reports to: Floater/On-Call Manager

Location: Denver

Compensation: $24.51 per hour (Part-time position)


The On-Call Site Coordinator works alongside the Floater/On-Call Manager, Site Managers, and Operations team to help create safe, stable, healing, and supportive Micro-Community (MC) shelter environments. This role provides critical shift coverage across multiple sites while supporting daily operations, community engagement, and crisis response. 


Expected schedule, specific tasks related to primary focus areas, as well as other responsibilities for this position are listed below:


Schedule/ Hours:

This position is expected to travel to work at any CVC site to fill open shifts on an as needed basis

No guaranteed hours, 10 hrs shifts when called in to work

The employee will have the ability to accept or refuse hours based on availability


Shifts:

Shift 1: 7 am - 5:30 pm 

Shift 2: 10 am - 8:30 pm

Shift 3: 7:30 pm - 6:00 am

Shift 4: 9:00 pm - 7:30 am

Time will be spent in organizational meetings, meeting with external partners and coalitions, meeting with community members, etc.


Key Area #1 - Operations

  • Community Member Intake
  • Orient new community members to program policies, rights, and responsibilities
  • Complete intake documentation and collect information for HMIS entry
  • Signed program agreement whereby community member acknowledges understanding and agreement to abide by all policies, rights, and responsibilities
  • Community Member Participation
  • Complete and document daily community member check-ins
  • Record community member participation with external partners
  • Accountability/Complaints/Compliance
  • Ensure community member compliance with program agreements, and have accountability conversations with community members when they are not in compliance. Track and record these accountability conversations, follow up plans, etc.
  • Communicate accountability concerns and significant policy violations to the Site Manager
  • Support the Site Manager with community member exits when appropriate
  • Communicate with community members while providing stable, trauma- informed interactions with community members
  • Ensure information is distributed to community members effectively including external provider’s schedule, resources, etc.
  • Site Upkeep
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety and accountability of the site. 
  • Hourly interior site walks
  • External perimeter walks every two hours
  • Daily cleaning of community spaces
  • Daily cleaning of community bathrooms
  • Snow Removal
  • Weekly Checks of community member’s units
  • Documentation Responsibilities
  • Complete incident reports.
  • Maintain accurate site logs.
  • Document and communicate shift updates.
  • Collaboration
  • Operations staff organize and host community events because building community is a top priority at our sites
  • Operations staff serve as a central point of connection between community members and resources such as case managers, medical providers, peer support, behavioral health services, and other partners.


Key Area #2 - Programming

  • Personal community member support
  • Build relationships and establish rapport with community members
  • Connect community members to case managers to help them progress towards housing and employment goals
  • Connect community members to external partners who come to site
  • Connect community members to personal crisis support as needed
  • Coordinate community-building events
  • Supporting community members’ pathways to recovery
  • Foster a recovery-supportive and trauma-informed environment
  • Collaborate with case management, recovery resources, behavioral health services, and peer support as appropriate
  • Encourage participation in recovery, wellness, and community-building activities
  • Support community members in pursuing their individual recovery and wellness goals


Key Area #3 - Conflict Management and Crisis Response

  • Conflict Management and Resolution 
  • Promote conflict resolution among community members
  • Ensure that conflict is managed and resolved in a non-violent manner
  • Conduct mediated conversations with community members
  • Documentation of conflict and crisis response 
  • Violence and Threat Response
  • If violence or threats of violence happen onsite, coordinate with other staff members, de-escalate the situation to ensure site safety, deliver accountability when necessary, contact law enforcement if necessary, and document all actions taken.
  • Discharge community members as necessary in partnership with Site Manager 


Key Area #4 - Metrics and Reporting

  • Complete HMIS data collection and data entry daily.
  • Conduct Impact Stories and Reflective Journal entries monthly
  • Support Site Manager with data collection and reporting as needed


Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the role in both indoor and outdoor environments, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
  • Responsibilities include prolonged periods of standing and walking; lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40 pounds; and packing, moving, and transporting community members' personal belongings during unit transitions or community member exits.
  • The role also requires frequent reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and sufficient manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and technology.
  •  Visual and auditory abilities are necessary to safely perform job duties, respond to the environment, and maintain site safety. Employees must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, and cold temperatures.

Cleaning Requirements:

  • The On-Call Site Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for community members, staff, volunteers, and visitors in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. 
  • Responsibilities include routine cleaning and sanitation of community spaces, bathrooms, offices, and other shared areas; sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, unclogging toilets, and removing trash. 
  • The position also requires the safe preparation, handling, and disposal of cleaning supplies and materials, as well as the proper use of cleaning equipment such as mops, buckets, and vacuums. 
  • Employees are expected to follow all safety, infection prevention, and hygiene protocols to reduce hazards and maintain a healthy living environment.

Colorado Village Collaborative is a collaborative organization where team members regularly support one another across programs. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet organizational needs while remaining aligned with the primary purpose of this role.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in homelessness services, behavioral health, human services, or related fields is preferred
  • Lived experience with homelessness is valued. At least one year of stable housing is preferred.
  • Experience in operating computerized office equipment and telephones.
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Cell phone to download and access CVC applications is required
