Server - Breakfast with Santa

Description
The Breakfast with Santa Server is responsible for delivering excellent guest service and supporting the Events Team in creating a fun, welcoming, and memorable Breakfast with Santa experience. This role assists with event preparation, buffet and beverage service, guest needs, table maintenance, and event tear-down. The position requires strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced event environment. The Server reports to the F&B Management Team.
This position is Seasonal and requires availability Friday – Sunday 7:30am-12pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare assigned areas and ensure dining, buffet, and beverage stations are ready for service.
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service throughout the event.
- Assist guests with questions, directions, and general event needs.
- Assist with buffet service by keeping food areas clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready.
- Prepare and brew coffee and hot chocolate and maintain beverage stations throughout the event.
- Serve select cocktails and other beverages offered as part of the event.
- Read guest needs and anticipate opportunities to provide helpful and attentive service.
- Perform table maintenance as needed, including clearing tables, replacing utensils, assisting with spills, and responding to guest requests.
- Assist with running food and beverages and supporting other members of the Events Team as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest-facing and service areas throughout the event.
- Assist with event breakdown and tear-down, including clearing tables, buffet stations, beverage areas, and event supplies.
- Communicate guest concerns or service needs to the Events Team or manager.
- Work cooperatively with Events, Food & Beverage, and other SkyPark team members to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in banquet service, catering, restaurant, hospitality, or guest service preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and guest service skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with guests of all ages.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have and maintain a valid San Bernardino County Food Handler Certification. SkyPark provides.
- Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and remain on feet for extended periods.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to move and assist with tables, chairs, food service equipment, beverage supplies, and other event materials.
- Fast-paced environment with frequent guest interaction.
- Exposure to varying noise levels during events.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and attentive while working in a busy event environment.
