Our main attraction in the warmer months is our world-class mountain biking trails and our zip line, where our guests soar over 30'​ above the forest floor for 600 exhilarating feet. About the Role

Description

The Breakfast with Santa Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast items for Breakfast with Santa events in accordance with SkyPark standards and Food & Beverage specifications. This position plays an important role in providing a consistent, high-quality guest experience by preparing food safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The Line Cook works closely with the kitchen and Events Teams to ensure buffet service is properly prepared, maintained, and replenished throughout the event. The Line Cook reports directly to the Food & Beverage Management Team.


This position requires availability Friday–Sunday from 6:00 AM–12:00 PM during the Breakfast with Santa season.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast items according to standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and SkyPark standards.
  • Complete assigned food preparation and ensure all items are ready for service on schedule.
  • Prepare, portion, and replenish food for buffet service throughout the event.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain assigned kitchen and food service stations.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, freshness, and presentation throughout service.
  • Ensure buffet items are replenished promptly and presented in a clean and appealing manner.
  • Properly accommodate dietary requests or food allergy concerns when directed by kitchen leadership.
  • Properly label, date, store, and rotate food using FIFO practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout the shift.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
  • Communicate food shortages, quality concerns, or service needs to the Food & Beverage Management Team.
  • Work closely with kitchen, Events, and service staff to ensure smooth and timely buffet service.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of food service areas, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with opening, closing, routine cleaning, and deep cleaning procedures.
  • Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and handling.
  • Follow direction from the Food & Beverage Management Team and support team members as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • Previous line cook, prep cook, catering, banquet, or kitchen experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic cooking methods, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-focused environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be available to work Friday–Sunday from 6:00 AM–12:00 PM during the Breakfast with Santa season.
  • Must have and maintain a valid San Bernardino County Food Handler Certification.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.


Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Fast-paced kitchen and event environment with exposure to heat, cold, steam, and kitchen equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Ability to move and assist with food, supplies, equipment, and event materials.
