Position: Bilingual Front Office Medical Secretary
Location: La Mesa and Chula Vista
Schedule: Full Time, shifts are between 7:30am-5pm
Hourly Range: $21.00 - 24.00 (based on level of experience)

Job Description:
The Front Office Medical Secretary plays a critical role in ensuring smooth coordination between patients, providers, and assisting in all front desk departmental functions. This position is responsible for checking patients in and out, obtaining necessary authorizations for outgoing imaging orders, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and organized, takes initiative, communicates clearly, can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is responsible. It is imperative that you have an upbeat, positive attitude, be outgoing and enjoy working with people and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, maintaining eye contact upon entering the center.
- Exhibit friendliness and courtesy in interactions with patients and co-workers.
- Efficiently manage patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and demographic verification.
- Collect co-pays and handle financial transactions with accuracy.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient information confidentiality.
- Inform patients of any appointment delays and manage concerns with professionalism.
- Schedule and confirm follow-up appointments.
- Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized front office, ensuring all supplies are well-stocked.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and policies.
Qualifications:
- 2 Years of experience in a receptionist role, preferably within a medical setting.
- Proficient in phone etiquette and managing multiple lines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and drive.
- Ability to effectively multitask in busy environments.
- Record of consistent attendance at previous employment.
- Prior experience in a medical office setting.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish required
