About the Role

Description

Elmet Technologies is a U.S.-based manufacturer of precision-engineered products serving global industries, including defense, aerospace, semiconductor, and energy. As a division of The Elmet Group, Elmet leverages shared corporate services while maintaining a strong operational focus on advanced materials processing and precision manufacturing. Our Reduction department plays a critical role in transforming raw materials into high-performance products that meet demanding customer specifications and quality standards.


Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator, Press/Powder, 2nd Shift, to join us at our Euclid facility. This position is responsible for   the safe operation of production furnaces and/or boxes. Also, safely operating production equipment, performing machine setups and changeovers, supporting equipment maintenance activities, and ensuring products meet quality and traceability requirements.

The ideal candidate is a dependable manufacturing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, takes pride in producing quality work, and is willing to learn and operate multiple pieces of equipment. This role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting team goals.


Shift Schedule: 2:00 – 10:30 PM

Requirements

  

  • Weigh metal powders to meet engineering requirements.
  • Starts machine and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
  • Operates machine to produce quality product while ensuring quality is being maintained in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Visually inspect parts for defects
  • Load parts for furnace operation.
  • Process product in a timely fashion as set by work standards for each specific job or piece of equipment, while maintaining safe work practices at all times. 
  • Measure and interpret product dimensions and conditions using simple tools as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Operate and adjust hydraulic press to produce powder compacts.
  • Utilize measuring devices to ensure compacts meet engineering specifications.

What Success Looks Like

  • Safely operate production equipment to meet quality, delivery, and productivity goals 
  • Perform machine setups, changeovers, and process monitoring according to production schedules 
  • Conduct equipment inspections and maintain housekeeping standards (5S) 
  • Assist with troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance activities 
  • Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and inventory transactions 
  • Ensure product traceability and compliance with quality requirements 
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial equipment 
  • Cross-train on multiple machines and support departmental needs as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
  • One year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. 
  • Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
