LOCATION: History Center - 345 W Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55102
COMPENSATION: Typical starting salary $17.02 hourly
HOURS: This is a part-time, temporary position from approximately January 19, 2027 to May 23, 2027. A part-time intern must be available to work 8-15 hours per week. This position offers a flexible work schedule, coordinated with the intern’s school schedule and operational needs. Preferred working hours are Monday through Friday, with a preference for at least one shift in person per week.

SEMINAR EVENTS: Interns are required to participate in three, in-person seminars focused on professional development, learning how cultural organizations operate, and building a network of industry professionals. At the end of the semester, interns complete a final presentation to share their work.

DESCRIPTION: The goal of this internship is to improve the accuracy of Minnesota Historical Society field trip data systems, as well as, support analysis and communication of 26/27 field trip data. The intern would be responsible for assisting with data clean up, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and preliminary reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Conduct data audits in Artifax reservation software and Hubspot customer relations management software; 2) Review and analyze preliminary field trip teacher evaluation data (qualitative); 3) Review and analyse preliminary field trip attendance data (quantitative); 4)Collaborate with Field Trips team members and Historic Sites and Museums colleagues to set up year end reporting documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated within the past 12 months at the time of application.
Ideal candidates might be currently pursuing, or a graduate with a degree in the following areas: History, Museum Studies, Education, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Administration, or the Social Sciences.
An ideal candidate would possess:
Effective communication skills, including ability to write clearly and concisely and effective oral communication with individuals and groups.
Ability to work both collaboratively with diverse individuals and independently to complete projects.
Technical proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
Experience, or willingness to learn, program evaluation best practices.
Project may necessitate sitting/standing at a computer for extended periods of time.
