Position Overview
The Industrial Security Specialist supports the organization’s security program and plays a critical role in ensuring the protection and integrity of classified information and sensitive assets within the organization. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the facility's security program in compliance with government regulations and contractual requirements. The Industrial Security Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the company and government security agencies, managing personnel security, visiting customers/stakeholders, assisting with implementing physical and industrial security requirements, access control, conducting risk and insider threat assessments, and overseeing security training for personnel. By proactively identifying vulnerabilities and enforcing security policies, the Industrial Security Specialist helps safeguard Exigo's operations and reputation.
Ultimately, the Industrial Security Specialist ensures that all security measures align with legal standards and support Exigo’s missions at all locations. This position also provides as needed front-office coverage and supports the opening and closing of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) while assisting with visitor and access control procedures. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
- Maintain Exigo’s security program in accordance with NISPOM and other applicable regulations
- Manage personnel security clearances, including processing clearance requests, reinvestigations, and debriefs/terminations
- Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for employees to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
- Perform security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and annual self-inspections, to identify and mitigate potential threats to classified information and assets
- Maintain accurate security records, reports, and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements
- Investigate and report security incidents or violations promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Oversee physical security measures, including access control, visitor management, and safeguarding of classified materials
- Assist with the opening and closing of the SCIF in accordance with the established weekly schedule and applicable security procedures
- Cover the front office reception desk on an as-needed basis
- Assist the security team with day-to-day security operations and administrative duties as assigned
- Maintain a professional and security-conscious presence within the front office and facility
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Top Secret with SCI/SAP eligibility.
- Between 4 and 6 years of experience in facility security management or a related security role
- Certified/trained FSO or equivalent professional security certification
- Comprehensive knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Department of Defense/War security requirements
- Familiarity with DODM5105.21 (SCI Security Manual), DODM5205.07 (SAP Security Manual), and ICD-705 (Tech Specs for Construction and Management of SCIFs)
- Strong understanding of personnel security clearance processes/procedures along with familiarity with personnel security programs of record (DISS, SCINet, NISS, and JADE)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage security programs and interact with government agencies
- Proven ability to lead security training programs and develop security awareness materials
- Experience working within a defense contractor or government agency environment
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and integration of physical and information security controls
- Have experience with the Insider Threat program
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Experience as a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) or Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO)

Additionally, leadership and problem-solving skills are critical for fostering a culture of security awareness and responding promptly to emerging threats or compliance challenges.
