About The Company
Tobii Dynavox® is the market leader in assistive technology for communication. Our custom designed communication aids & corresponding support system enable people with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, ALS, autism, spinal cord injury & aphasia to communicate & live their lives to the fullest. Our offering ranges from eye-controlled communication aids for speech generation to tools for the special education classroom. We empower people with disabilities to do what they once did, or never thought possible, such as expressing themselves in a voice of their own or developing literacy skills. We call this Power to be You, and it explains our belief that every individual has the right to live their life to the fullest, communicate, and live a more independent life. This makes a major impact on the people using our technology and those around them. It also benefits entire communities, healthcare systems & society at large. With integrated solutions featuring hardware, software, clinically developed language systems, training, and dedicated support, Tobii Dynavox stands out as a truly global, full solution provider in the assistive technology for communication market. There is an enormous unmet need for such products. Globally, around 50 million individuals need communication aids to communicate and interact effectively, while only about 2 million are diagnosed with this need every year. Furthermore, a subset of only about 2%, or 40,000, of those diagnosed are actually served every year due to low awareness, poor implementation support & lack of funding infrastructure — even in some of the most well-developed countries. We leverage a global distribution network and an extensive funding support system to enable as many as possible to benefit from our communication solutions. Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Tobii Dynavox employs around 500 people and covers a global market with offices in the US, the UK, Germany, China, Norway with reselling partners in 60+ markets.
About the Role

Why join us?

We’re on a mission to empower people with disabilities to do what they once did or never thought possible. As the world-leader in assistive communication solutions, we empower our customers to express themselves, connect with the world, and live richer lives.

At Tobii Dynavox, you can grow your career within a dynamic, global company that has a clear, impactful purpose - with the flexibility to also do what truly matters to you outside of work. What’s more, you’ll be part of a work culture where collaboration is the norm and individuality is welcomed.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the power to share experience. You’ll use your knowledge and expertise to guide clinicians, AAC end users and their caregivers, while impacting their lives in a meaningful way.

About the role

As an Assistive Technology Consultant, you will play a key role in improving outcomes for individuals with disabilities while increasing awareness of Tobii Dynavox products and services. You will provide high-quality support through both remote and in-person consultation while building long-term relationships with clinicians, stakeholders, and end users.

You will collaborate closely with our Clinical Team, and Technical Support Team to ensure solutions are aligned with the needs of clinicians, stakeholders, and users.

Please Note: This is a remote role (with a permanent contract) based in Brisbane, Queensland, with flexibility to work 3-5 days per week. The role includes regular travel to visit our recommenders and schools across the Brisbane area (approx. 1-2 hours of travel in either direction). Candidates should be located within a reasonable (approx. 1 hour) driving distance of Brisbane. Preferred start date is November 2026, with flexibility to accommodate start before December 2026.

In this role you will:

  • Strengthen and grow Tobii Dynavox’s presence across primarily QLD as well as interstate.
  • Support clinicians and their clients throughout product trials and remote sessions, while building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and information events focused on assistive technology and AAC (2-4 times per month).
  • Stay up to date with evidence‑based practices and developments in the field.
  • Represent Tobii Dynavox at conferences, expos, and industry events across Australia.

What We’re Looking For

This role is well suited to a self-driven professional who enjoys continuous learning, problem-solving, and working autonomously. If you are proactive, passionate about assistive technology, and motivated by making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities, we’d love to hear from you!

Ideal candidate would bring:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and minimum of 3 years’ experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including supporting AAC assessments, recommending and prescribing AAC devices, and contributing to funding applications.
  • Experience in settings such as hospitals, schools, private practice, therapy organisations as a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist.
  • Eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership or current AHPRA registration is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clinicians, stakeholders, and end users, understand diverse needs, build trusted relationships, and confidently support recommendations and decisions.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate clinical enquiries, ask questions, and work independently while knowing when to seek guidance and collaborate effectively with others.
  • A growth mindset and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel is required.

Benefits

At Tobii Dynavox, we want our team members to feel supported in their wellbeing, professional growth, and day-to-day work. For this role, our benefits include an annual professional development allowance to support approved learning activities, an annual wellness allowance for approved wellbeing activities, access to LinkedIn Learning and internal learning programs, and opportunities to grow through regular development conversations.

The role is not structured around billable targets; instead, the focus is on building trusted relationships, delivering meaningful support to clinicians and end users, and contributing to direction we are heading to. Success is measured through the impact you create with clinicians, clients, and stakeholders, including building trusted relationships, supporting successful product trials, delivering training and demonstrations, and helping strengthen Tobii Dynavox’s presence across the region.
