We are seeking energetic and reliable Festival Grounds Ambassadors to join our seasonal team for the upcoming National Peanut Festival. In this highly active role, you will serve as the eyes, ears, and friendly face of the fairgrounds. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, love interacting with the public, and enjoy staying on the move.Key Responsibilities:
- Roam the Fairgrounds: Maintain a continuous, active presence across all major festival zones, including the midway, exhibit halls, and concert areas.
- Guest Assistance: Provide directions, answer questions about competition schedules or ticket booths, and guide visitors to amenities.
- Safety & Cleanliness Monitoring: Regularly patrol assigned routes to identify safety hazards, spills, or full trash receptacles, reporting them immediately to maintenance or security teams.
- Crowd Flow Support: Help manage lines and pedestrian traffic flow during peak hours, parade events, and concert lineups.
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive Walking: Ability to walk, stand, and remain on your feet for the duration of an 8-to-10 hour shift (frequently covering 5–10+ miles per day).
- Outdoor Environment: Comfortable working outdoors in varying autumn weather conditions, including heat, cold, or light rain.
- Agility: Capability to traverse uneven terrains, dirt paths, and crowded paved walkways easily.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a standard background check.
- Strong communication skills with a welcoming, customer-service-oriented attitude.
