ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Discipline Investigations
Serve as the primary investigator for student behavioral incidents classified as Tier 2 and above.
Conduct timely, fair, and objective investigations of reported incidents.
Interview scholars, staff members, and witnesses as appropriate; collect written statements, documentation, available evidence, and other relevant information.
Establish incident timelines, summarize relevant facts, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the investigative process.
Ensure investigations are conducted without predetermined conclusions and that relevant parties have an opportunity to provide information.
Incident Reporting & Administrative Support
Prepare thorough written investigation and incident findings reports for review by the Principal and Assistant Principal.
Clearly document facts, statements, findings, relevant behavioral expectations, and other information needed to support administrative decision-making.
Maintain accurate and organized discipline documentation and records and provide timely information regarding significant behavioral incidents.
Support school leadership in identifying patterns or recurring behavioral concerns that may require additional intervention.
Provide investigative findings and recommendations; final disciplinary decisions remain with the appropriate school administrator.
Mediation & Restorative Practices
Facilitate student mediation when appropriate to resolve interpersonal conflicts.
Lead restorative conversations that promote accountability, reflection, relationship repair, and improved decision-making.
Assist scholars in communicating concerns, identifying triggers, developing conflict-resolution strategies, and establishing expectations for future interactions.
Document restorative interventions and follow-up actions as appropriate.
Student Supervision & School Presence
Maintain a visible and active presence throughout the school day, particularly during high-traffic periods.
Provide supervision and behavioral support during morning arrival, before-school activities, class and grade-level transitions, lunch periods, recess or assigned student activities, afternoon dismissal, and after-school transitions.
Proactively identify and address situations that could escalate into behavioral incidents and reinforce CHCS behavioral expectations consistently and professionally.
Assist administrators and staff with maintaining orderly student movement throughout the campus.

Remain calm and professional when responding to conflict or emotionally charged situations.
Maintain accurate, objective, and timely documentation and follow CHCS policies, procedures, student behavior expectations, and applicable legal requirements.
Work collaboratively with school leadership and instructional staff to support a positive school culture.
