About the Role

Description

The primary responsibility of the Level 2 PT is to ensure patients receive optimal physical therapy treatment at True Sports to achieve their goals. This role supports a sports-focused caseload through effective evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and consistent progress monitoring.


Success in this position means delivering evidence-informed care that restores function, reduces pain, and supports injury prevention. You will also help strengthen the clinic through mentorship, education initiatives, and accurate, timely documentation.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of athletes’ injuries, medical history, and physical condition to develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Implement therapeutic techniques, exercises, and modalities to address musculoskeletal conditions and promote optimal recovery.
  • Educate athletes on injury prevention, exercise techniques, and self-management strategies to support long-term outcomes.
  • Work closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to monitor progress and optimize treatment plans toward rehabilitation goals.
  • Determine ongoing treatment frequency and plan adjustments based on patient response, functional progress, and clinical indicators.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and up-to-date documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Mentor, coach, and train new staff PTs to support effective clinic onboarding and consistent quality of care.
  • Lead in-services and deliver continuing education sessions for the clinic and/or company.
  • Host clinical students and support learning opportunities as available.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and clinic environment throughout the day.
  • Organize and participate in community, school, club, and fitness facility marketing events to support clinic visibility.

Requirements

  • Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
  • Valid state license to practice
  • At least 18 months of PT experience, with 12 months being at True Sports
  • Preferred certifications: CSCS, PES, ATC, USAW, SCS, OCS, Cert DN
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely
  • Ability to analyze and reason through clinical data to draw conclusions and solve problems
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and self-improvement
  • Strong self-management skills, including time and priority management to meet goals
  • Collaborative mindset and teamwork skills to support clinic deliverables
  • Ability to provide consultation to clients and navigate complex or sensitive situations
  • Ability to train and present information to groups
  • Knowledge of sports rehabilitation and musculoskeletal care principles
