Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN STATUS

Stonewall Living Center

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis, providing exceptional healthcare services to our 53 senior residents. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality nursing care to senior residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies

- Monitor residents’ health status, vital signs, and medication administration

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans

- Respond promptly to residents’ needs and emergencies with professionalism and compassion

- Document all care activities accurately and maintain detailed medical records

- Educate residents and their families about health conditions and care plans

- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards


Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

- Proven experience in senior or long-term care nursing preferred

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and work PRN hours as needed

PRN Requirements

To maintain PRN status, SLC employees must:

  • Remain available for scheduling as needed.
  • Meet facility minimum shift requirements.
  • Maintain active RN licensure and required certifications.
  • Complete all mandatory in-services, annual competencies, health screenings, and TB testing by required deadlines.
  • Maintain communication regarding availability and scheduling needs.
  • Comply with all Stonewall Living Center policies and procedures.

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move residents as necessary.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Ability to perform duties requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Working Conditions

  • Long-term care environment with frequent interaction with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and other healthcare-related hazards.
  • Flexible work schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
