Description
Corona Millworks is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for our woodworking division. This person will troubleshoot and repair equipment, organize preventive maintenance, and keep our production machinery running safely and reliably.
This is a working maintenance position with leadership responsibilities. You will spend the majority of your time on the shop floor, working directly on equipment.
Who We’re Looking For:
We need someone who takes ownership, turns wrenches, and follows repairs through to completion. The right candidate can respond to breakdowns while building a preventive maintenance program that improves equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair a wide range of woodworking equipment, including CNC machines, shapers, table saws, beam saws, Tiger Stop positioning systems, automated crosscut saws, assembly clamps, and other production machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical components, including bearings, belts, motors, drives, gearboxes, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting within your training and qualifications.
Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, switches, and machine controls.
Establish and manage preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and prevent repeat failures.
Use Fixx maintenance software to track work orders, scheduled maintenance, repairs, equipment history, and parts.
Identify, source, and order replacement parts and maintain critical spare-parts inventory.
Prioritize maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with production supervisors.
Coordinate outside technicians when specialized service is required.
Help operators recognize equipment problems and follow proper equipment-care practices.
Follow and reinforce safe maintenance procedures, including lockout/tagout.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience in woodworking or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC equipment and a variety of woodworking machinery.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.
- PLC troubleshooting and automated machine controls experience preferred.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Experience developing preventive maintenance schedules and ordering parts.
- Experience using Fixx or another maintenance management system preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Previous maintenance lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
