About the Role

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Jointly responsible for product and process quality, with the production staffs, QA sections and process engineering team. Contact with the sale & external parties.
  • Report quality high risk events to supervisors.
  • Report unsafe behaviors to supervisors.
  • Report to next managing levels when my supervisor does the wrong thing without the correction.
  • Access to manufacturing methodologies and process information. Access to customer lists and customer information.
  • Stop the production line and report it to the supervisor if there is a major quality problem or the yield drops below the cut-off threshold.
  • Reject orders and isolate products that don't meet requirements.
  • Stop shipment if the products do not meet the customer's requirements. In addition, have the right to stop working and request remedial work when detecting that working conditions or working positions are not safe.
  • Lead and manage quality inspectors

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 yr. experience in process quality assurance/control prefer in optical communication or electronic manufacturing industry
  • BS degrees in Engineering or Science prefer in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Materials Science or equivalent degree.

Skills

  • Experienced in statistical data analysis, JMP or Minitab software required.
  • Experience with problem solving with 8D approach.
  • Logic problem solving with data analysis.
  • Follow through skills on problem solving with root-cause address and continuously improve
  • Understand quality system and be familiar with ISO9001 or IATF16949.
  • Familiar with FMEA/MSA/SPC and related quality tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good English spoken and written.
  • Mandarin is a plus point
  • Good teamwork sprit and self-driven under pressure

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc.
