About the Role

The Data and Insights Analyst turns data into practical insight that helps the Brand and Marketing Division make better decisions, improve performance and understand audiences more clearly. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will provide the evidence base for brand, marketing and campaign planning, working across cross-functional teams with Marketing Partners, campaign delivery teams, Digital Experience and the Brand Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting marketing performance measurement and analytics across the Division, including metrics, frameworks and reporting to evaluate campaign, channel, brand and digital performance.

  • Providing audience, market, competitor, rankings and reputation insights to support strategy development and decision-making.

  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports and data visualisations that make insights accessible and actionable.

  • Supporting campaign and digital optimisation through analysis, recommendations and performance evaluation.

  • Managing data sources, integrations and analytics tools in partnership with Digital Experience and Information Technology Services teams.

  • Promoting strong data governance, privacy and ethical practices in the handling and use of marketing and audience data.

The Brand & Marketing Division plays a critical role in shaping how UOW is understood, chosen and championed by students, partners and communities around the world.

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing analytics, data analysis or insights, including developing measurement frameworks and performance reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with web analytics, campaign analytics, marketing technologies and audience or market research data.

  • Experience creating dashboards, reports and visualisations that communicate complex information clearly.

  • The ability to translate data into practical, actionable recommendations that support strategy, planning and optimisation.

  • An understanding of data quality, privacy and ethical data use, or the ability to apply these principles in a marketing and audience context.

  • Curiosity about emerging analytics, automation and AI tools, and how they can be used responsibly to improve insight, reporting and decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present insights to a range of audiences.
