AMINA India is a wholly owned subsidiary of AMINA Bank AG. Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)

We are looking for a hands-on Data Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric, to design, develop and evolve scalable enterprise data platforms. 

This is a design-and-build role, combining data architecture with hands-on data engineering. The candidate will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into architecture and then actively contributing to the design, development, implementation, optimization and troubleshooting of data solutions. 

The role requires strong ownership across data architecture, data modelling, batch and real-time processing, data integration, data quality, performance, security and platform engineering. 

You will define data models, integration patterns and engineering standards, guide implementation, and ensure solutions meet business requirements for security, governance, reliability, performance and cost.

Your AMINA To-Do List

• Design, develop & maintain end-to-end data solutions across Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse and Analytics platforms.
• Design and develop scalable batch, incremental, CDC and real-time/streaming data pipelines.
• Provide deep technical expertise with Hands-on development using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Event Hubs and Databricks.
• Design & Implement Medallion/Lakehouse architectures, data models, ingestion frameworks and reusable engineering patterns.
• Develop complex SQL, PySpark and data transformation pipelines and perform code reviews.
• Build technical POCs and prototypes and convert validated designs into production-ready solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline, performance, data quality and platform issues.
• Optimize data platforms for performance, scalability, reliability and cloud cost.
• Implement monitoring, observability, error handling, recovery and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Implement & Maintain CI/CD, DevOps, security, governance and data engineering standards.
• Maintain architecture decisions, technical documentation and platform roadmaps.
• Evaluate and contribute to adoption of Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and other modern data technologies.
• Work closely with Data Engineering, BI, Cloud, Security and business teams to deliver production-ready data solutions.
• Balance architecture quality, development effort, delivery timelines, performance, reliability and cost.
• Challenge existing designs and propose pragmatic, technology-agnostic solutions based on business and technical requirements.

• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Data Engineering and Data Architecture.
• Deep expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and ADLS Gen2.
• Strong understanding of Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Lakehouse architectures.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing batch, incremental and streaming data pipelines.
• Strong SQL, Python & and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark and distributed data processing.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms and complex data integration.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, performance, reliability and cost optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and production data platform management.
• Ability to design, develop, deploy and troubleshoot data solutions independently.
• Ability to document architecture decisions and guide engineering teams.

Good to Have 

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.

Ideal Candidate 
The ideal candidate is a builder-architect — someone who can understand the requirement, design the architecture, develop the solution, troubleshoot it in production and guide the engineering team. They should be comfortable working hands-on with data pipelines and code while also making architecture-level decisions. They should be able to challenge existing designs constructively and select the right technology based on business requirements, scalability, performance, reliability, security and cost, rather than technology preference.
