We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at 1019 Vermillion Place, a senior living community in Anderson, Indiana.

What You’ll Do
Treatment
Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Follow individualized treatment plans to help residents improve independence, safety, functional abilities, and quality of life.
Documentation
Complete timely and accurate documentation of treatments provided, resident response to treatment, and progress toward established goals.
Team Collaboration
Communicate regularly with the Occupational Therapist and collaborate with nursing, facility staff, residents, and families regarding resident progress, functional status, and changing needs.
Professional Development
Participate in team development meetings and take advantage of opportunities to continue growing your clinical skills.
Requirements
Education: Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Certification: Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Licensure: Valid Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility.
Clinical Skills: Strong treatment skills with the ability to follow and implement individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Experience or interest in geriatric care, activities of daily living, functional mobility, and safety is encouraged.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Technology: Computer proficiency and ability to document in an electronic medical record system.
Physical Requirements: Ability to assist residents as needed and perform physical tasks related to therapy, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the facility.
