The hours for this position are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00 am to 6:45 pm.


Job Summary: 


The Fabricator/MIG Welder II is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding metal components, subassemblies, and frames for asphalt pavers, brooms, graders, loaders, road wideners, or distributor trucks. The Welder must have the ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to produce high-quality products that meet LEEBOY quality standards. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Perform MIG welding using Flux Core on structural steel, sheet metal, and fabricated assemblies according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and hand tools.
  • Measure, fit, align, and assemble components.
  • Verify dimensions and inspect completed welds to ensure conformance to quality standards.
  • Ensure weld operations are properly completed and closed within the production system (Epicor).
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience or ability to learn.



Requirements

Education and Experience: 

  • High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
  • Minimum of 3 years of MIG / Flux Core welding experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, and squares.
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee may be exposed to welding fumes, noise, heat, and moving equipment.
  • Must wear required PPE (personal protective equipment), including welding helmet, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
