Position Details
- Shift schedule: 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts.

Your Responsibilities
- Patient care: Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain and document medical histories, and measure vital signs.
- Clinical testing: Perform basic laboratory testing and specimen collection, including urinalysis, blood draws, and COVID-19 swabs.
- Medication administration: Administer medications as directed by a medical provider, within applicable scope and clinic protocols.
- Administrative support: Greet patients, answer phone calls, verify insurance information, and assist with appointments and patient registration.
- Clinic readiness: Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Teamwork: Support providers and colleagues to maintain efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a medical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Clear communication, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements
Education:
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
- Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions
- Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with EKGs and Phlebotomy preferred but not required
