Infrastructure Digital Delivery Lead

What if you could do the kind of work the world needs?
At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.
WSP are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Digital Delivery Lead to drive digital transformation, BIM excellence, automation initiatives, and digital project delivery across our Transport & Infrastructure business.
The Infrastructure Digital Delivery Lead is the strategic technology architect responsible for the comprehensive digital lifecycle of our major infrastructure, utility corridors, bridges, and infrastructure master plans. Operating across the entire delivery continuum from conceptual design to asset handover this role unifies BIM, Geospatial Intelligence (GIS), Real-time Digital Twins, Legacy CAD standardizations, High-End 3D Visualizations, and AI-driven workflow automations.
You will not just manage models; you will design the overarching data infrastructure that connects engineering design to operational asset management, ensuring absolute data integrity, efficiency, and future-proof project delivery.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Digital Strategy, Frameworks & BIM Governance
Author, maintain, and enforce the overarching Digital Delivery Execution Plan (DDEP) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in strict compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
Establish, structure, and administer the Common Data Environment (CDE) using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, setting up automated review workflows, ISO container compliance, and multi-firm security access permissions.
Govern project coordinate systems, ensuring zero spatial or coordinate drift across linear highway alignments, utility networks, structural bridges, and global GIS maps.
2. GIS & Digital Twin Integration
Architect the bidirectional data pipelines connecting GIS platforms (Esri ArcGIS / QGIS) with horizontal engineering design software (Civil 3D / OpenRoads).
Build the schema maps and asset metadata frameworks required to translate 3D BIM data into operational Digital Twin environments (e.g., Autodesk Tandem, Bentley iTwin, or custom web-based twin environments).
Define asset tracking protocols to integrate future IoT sensor data metadata placeholders within the smart-city asset master list during the design phase.
3. CAD Legacy & Hybrid Workflows
Maintain strict quality control over traditional, two-dimensional deliverables by enforcing uniform CAD standards (layer structures, plot styles, sheet sets) alongside 3D environments.
Manage hybrid workflows ensuring that legacy 2D drawings dynamically update from the core 3D federated model, minimizing manual drafting errors.
4. 3D Visualization & Reality Capture
Manage large-scale visual aggregation models within Autodesk InfraWorks, Twinmotion, or Unreal Engine to produce high-end, real-time interactive models for public consultation and executive stakeholder reviews.
Oversite the integration of Reality Capture datasets (UAV Photogrammetry, LiDAR point clouds, mobile scanning) into active design environments for real-time site verification.
5. AI Tools, Scripting & Automations
Develop, scale, and deploy custom automations using Dynamo for Civil 3D/Revit, Python, or VBA to eliminate repetitive drafting tasks, automate grading calculations, and auto-populate asset metadata fields.
Implement AI-driven design tools and generative design algorithms for optimizing massive earthworks volumes, alternative highway corridor alignments, and automated clash resolution pipelines.
Utilize AI text and data analytics tools to run predictive automated audits on thousands of model parameters, catching quality drops instantly.
