Orderly (4486) AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER

SUMMARY:
The Orderly/Facility Assistant functions as a supporting member of the Surgery Center team by performing various tasks which include limited patient care, environmental maintenance, assistance with material management, and a variety of other duties. The Orderly/Facility Assistant reports directly to the Director of Nursing and/or the Administrator.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate, previous work experience in an ambulatory surgery center, acute-care facility, or long-term care setting preferred. BCLS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire. Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day. Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position. Intermittent physical mobility/activity including moderate-to-heavy lifting, pulling or pushing of carts, equipment, etc.
