About the Role

Brief Description:
 

Role Overview

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Service Sales Manager with 8–12 years of proven expertise in UPS service sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving service revenue growth across contracts, spare parts, batteries, upgrades, retrofit solutions, and audit services. This is an individual contributor role with full accountability for sales growth, P&L management, and customer satisfaction.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive service sales growth in UPS contracts, spare parts, batteries, upgrades, retrofit, and audit services.
  • Manage contract business with strong awareness of RCR (Recurring Contract Revenue) and WCR (Warranty Contract Revenue).
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in retrofit and upgrade projects to enhance customer infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute strategies for solution-based service sales and audit business expansion.
  • Handle end-to-end service sales cycle including prospecting, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closure.
  • Take ownership of P&L responsibilities for assigned accounts/projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in electrical project sales and service domains.
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and participate in regular status calls.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and contractual obligations.
 
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 8 –12 years in UPS service sales (contracts, spares, batteries, upgrades, retrofit, audit services).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical project sales and service delivery models.
  • Proven track record in sales growth and P&L management.
  • Familiarity with contract structures, RCR/WCR metrics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Vertiv or similar UPS/power solutions industry.
  • Exposure to solution-based service selling and consultative approaches.
  • Technical understanding of UPS systems and retrofit solutions
