About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary CIO to join our dynamic team at Mesabi Metallics Advisory Private Limited. The CIO will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our IT roadmap, ensuring we leverage technology to enhance our position as a leading metals and mining company. This role demands a strategic thinker who can align IT initiatives with our business goals, driving efficiency, and innovation across our global operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's business objectives and long-term vision.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation and management of robust IT systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our global mining projects.
- Establish strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand their IT requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our digital capabilities.
- Ensure data security and privacy compliance across all IT systems and processes, implementing best practices and protocols.
- Manage IT budgets and resources effectively, optimizing costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate IT solutions into their workflows, improving efficiency and productivity.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for IT-related decisions, influencing key stakeholders and executives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record in the metals and mining industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing IT strategies that drive business growth and transformation.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management best practices.
- Experience in leading global IT projects and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required for project management and client engagement.
