About the Role

About Optime

Optime is an award-winning recruitment business specialising in aviation. Since 2016, we have placed over 20,000 people across major UK airports, supporting airlines, ground handlers and airport operators with reliable, high-volume workforce solutions. We have been named in the Recruiter Hot 100 for three consecutive years (2023, 2024 and 2025).

The role

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of Optime’s marketing and strengthen our position as a leading name in aviation recruitment.

You will be Optime’s sole marketer, reporting to the Managing Director. You will own both the strategy and its delivery, with full responsibility for how Optime is positioned in the market. This is a hands-on, broad role covering brand, content, design, SEO and lead generation, working closely with the commercial team to support the next stage of the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Marketing strategy: Develop and own Optime’s marketing plan, aligned with business goals and commercial targets.
  • Brand and positioning: Develop Optime’s profile as a market leader in aviation workforce solutions through thought leadership, industry insight and consistent brand messaging.
  • LinkedIn and content: Manage Optime’s LinkedIn presence, including company and leadership profiles, along with other relevant channels. Produce content that engages airport and airline decision-makers.
  • Lead generation: Plan and deliver B2B campaigns that generate qualified enquiries for the commercial team, and report on their performance.
  • SEO and website: Manage the Optime website, improving search visibility, content and conversion.
  • Design: Produce sales collateral, case studies, social media graphics, event materials and presentations using InDesign and Photoshop.
  • AI and marketing tools: Use AI and other marketing technology across content, research, design and automation to improve quality and efficiency.

What success looks like in the first year

  • A consistent, recognisable presence on LinkedIn, with growing engagement and following
  • Measurable growth in organic traffic and inbound enquiries
  • A strong library of sales collateral used by the commercial team
  • A clear contribution from marketing to new client wins

About you

  • Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally as a solo marketer or within a small team
  • Strong proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop, supported by a portfolio
  • A track record of building a brand presence on LinkedIn
  • Practical SEO experience, including technical, on-page and content optimisation
  • Confident, everyday use of AI tools for content creation, design and automation
  • Excellent written communication skills and a commercially minded approach
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities and produce high-quality work

Experience in aviation, recruitment or workforce solutions would be an advantage but is not essential.

What we offer

  • A salary of £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, with Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Crawley office and Tuesday and Friday from home
  • 30 days’ annual leave, plus your birthday off
  • Regular company events throughout the year, from days at the races to darts nights and golf days
  • Full ownership of Optime’s marketing, with real influence on the direction of the business
