About the Role

The Department is inviting applications for Postdoctoral Fellow(s) / Research Associate(s) / Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) positions.

Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or preferably in health-related disciplines (for Postdoctoral Fellow(s)); OR a Master’s degree in the abovementioned disciplines with four years of post-qualification relevant experience (for Research Associate(s)); (ii) strong background and training in cancer biology, science and experimental techniques; and (iii) excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

For Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s), applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in health-related discipline; (ii) experience in research related activities; (iii) good computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or statistical software such as SPSS; (iv) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; (v) good interpersonal skill and telephone manner; and (vi) a strong sense of responsibility.

The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) providing assistance in organising clinical research projects at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin; (b) participating in study co-ordination, patients' assessment as well as data collection, entry and analysis; and (c) performing other tasks as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
