About the Role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and daily operations of insurance application systems. The successful candidate will work across application development, system support, troubleshooting, integration, and continuous improvement activities.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of software engineering experience, strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, and familiarity with Azure Cloud, Salesforce, SQL Server, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience using AI-assisted development tools and practices is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily production support for insurance application systems.
- Monitor application performance, investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate problem resolution.
- Analyze system issues and determine whether they are related to application defects, infrastructure, data, or integrations.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full stack applications and services.
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Support frontend development and integration with backend services and external platforms.
- Develop and maintain integrations with Salesforce, Azure services, and other enterprise systems.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, release management, and post-production support.
- Follow established SDLC, IT service management, security, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with business users, vendors, infrastructure teams, application teams, and global engineering teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and system knowledge articles.
- Identify opportunities to improve system stability, automation, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and troubleshooting, while following applicable security and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience in software development, application support, or full stack engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- RESTful APIs and web services
- SQL Server and relational databases
- Azure Cloud services
- Experience with Salesforce development, configuration, or system integration.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies and the SDLC.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications in a production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment practices.
- Good understanding of application security, access control, logging, monitoring, and incident management.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools, such as coding assistants, AI-powered testing tools, or AI development platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of insurance business processes and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, containers, or infrastructure automation.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs
Relevant cloud or professional certifications, such as Microsoft Azure or Salesforce certifications.
