About the Role
Your mission
As IT Administrator (m/f/d) with a focus on network, virtualization and IT security, you join our dedicated IT team and help keep our infrastructure secure, stable and efficient. Your work spans:- You design, implement and manage our network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and wireless networks, and configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches and access points.
- You maintain and monitor our virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.), ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
- You implement and manage IT security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, intrusion detection systems and security audits.
- You perform regular security assessments, vulnerability testing and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- You develop and enforce IT policies, procedures and standards that ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- You collaborate with your IT colleagues to plan and execute IT projects, and provide technical support and training to end users on network, virtualization and security topics.
Your profile
This is what we are looking for:- You bring proven experience in IT administration with a focus on network management, virtualization and IT security.
- You have in-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- You have hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V or similar.
- You have a strong understanding of IT security principles, including firewalls, IDS/IPS and anti-virus software.
- You are an excellent problem solver and stay effective under pressure.
- You communicate confidently in English and German and work effectively in a team.
