You’ll coordinate work between clinical operations, IT, Data, Revenue Cycle, and external vendors to implement, improve, and standardize systems that support clinicians and back-office teams. This is a hands-on delivery role: you’ll own timelines, organize stakeholders, and drive projects from idea through go-live and stabilization

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Process Improvement Projects

· Lead process redesign, workflow standardization, and operational efficiency projects across business functions, from discovery through implementation and stabilization.

· Partner with operational and functional leaders to identify process gaps, define future-state workflows, and implement measurable improvements.

· Build and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and lessons learned for assigned initiatives.

· Manage operational integration and transition projects during mergers, acquisitions, and new market launches.

Cross-Functional & Enterprise Projects

· Lead enterprise and cross-functional initiatives that span multiple departments, coordinating the people, processes, and systems involved from discovery through implementation and stabilization.

· Drive integration and unification projects following mergers, acquisitions, or reorganizations, bringing multiple teams or entities onto shared processes and a common operating model.

· Manage improvement projects across functions such as operations, clinical services, revenue cycle, and finance, partnering with leaders to design and implement measurable changes.

· Identify and lead opportunities to apply technology and automation, including AI-enabled tools, to improve existing processes and workflows.

Data & Reporting Projects

· Translate reporting needs from operations, finance, and functional teams into clear delivery plans, including requirements definition, data validation, and reconciliation.

· Partner with data teams and vendors to deliver dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting; validate file layouts, field mappings, and data quality.

Systems & Implementation Projects

· Coordinate the implementation and integration of business applications, partnering with IT, vendors, and operational teams on configuration, testing, and UAT.

· Manage system and data migration efforts during platform changes, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring continuity for end users.

· Coordinate vendor selection, escalation, and post-launch support for assigned systems, translating between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Project Planning, Governance & Execution

· Define project scope, success criteria, timelines, and resourcing in alignment with portfolio priorities; manage scope and change control throughout.

· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget using aligned best practices.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in project management tools for all assigned projects.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

· Translate project requirements and status into clear communication tailored to both operational and executive stakeholders.

· Facilitate collaboration between vendors, internal teams, and leadership throughout the lifecycle of assigned initiatives.

· Facilitate prioritization of project requests with operational, finance, and executive stakeholders.

· Promote process improvements that enhance efficiency across business teams; capture and fold lessons learned into future projects.

Continuous Improvement

· Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to how we intake, prioritize, and execute EMR/clinical application projects.

· Capture lessons learned and fold them into future projects, templates, and ways of working.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience, with demonstrated delivery of cross-functional operations, process-improvement, or enterprise projects.
  •  Prior experience managing projects in a healthcare, operations, or multi-stakeholder business environment (e.g., process redesign, workflow standardization, system or vendor implementations).
  • Technical literacy sufficient to facilitate communication between technical or vendor teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools; comfortable in a lean environment moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

· Familiarity with healthcare operations and relevant regulations such as HIPAA and PHI.

· Experience with data mapping between systems; comfort reviewing data dictionaries and file layouts.

· Ability to write or interpret basic SQL queries (e.g., to validate records, counts, or simple joins) is a plus.

· Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM, PMI-ACP) is a plus, not a requirement.
