About the Role

  • FIFO Roster: 12hour Days on a 2:1 Roster
  • Scope: November 15th 2026 to January 17th 2027
  • Flights: FIFO from Perth Airport

The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Boilermaker’s to join the team located on Barrow Island, WA. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of structural steel, piping, plate work, and fixed plant components. This is a casual ongoing position from November to January, joining our team on the Butler Park Corrosion Project delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

 

About You

  • Trade Certificate III – Fabrication Trade
  • WA Drivers Licence
  • White Card / Construction Induction
  • Working at Heights (completed within last 2 years)
  • Ability to pass a 2G & 3G weld test
  • Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks
  • Proven experience in fabrication, welding, and structural steel works
