HOUSEKEEPING DIRECTOR, Full Time - Albany Care, Evanston, IL

Albany Care,  a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Housekeeping Director. Salary of $50k, plus Benefits,  with an 8-hour shift. 

                                     Every Other Weekend Hours are Required

Responsibilities of the Housekeeping Director:

• Organize employee shifts and training
• Educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
• Monitor rooms, private and public areas for cleanliness
• Ensure daily housekeeping operations run smoothly
• Oversee staff performance
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur
• Respond to resident complaints and special requests
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies and regulations

Requirements

Requirements of the Housekeeping Director:

• High school diploma
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
• Experience in a long term care facility preferred
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Excellent organizational and team management skills
• Able to handle the physical demands of the job
• Compassion, tolerance and understanding of adults with mental disorders
• Must be able to pass a background check
