Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to support daily operations at the Heartists Cafeteria, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across all kitchen and service areas.

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, floors, and workstations.
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, cookware, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain clean waste storage areas.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and storage areas.
  • Support the culinary team by ensuring clean equipment and utensils are available during service.
  • Report maintenance issues and hygiene concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or Dishwasher in a hotel, restaurant, or cafeteria is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely.
  • Physically fit, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
