We’re Hiring: IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Manager

ICG Medical, a specialist healthcare staffing group operating across the UK, South Africa, the US, Canada, Australia and beyond, is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Manager to lead our global IT Support, Cyber Security and DevOps teams, ensuring secure, reliable and efficient technology operations across our international business.

Location: Plattekloof , Cape Town, South Africa  |  Permanent, full-time  |  Reports to: Global IT Director

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop IT Support, Cyber Security and DevOps teams.
• Set priorities, rotas and on-call cover across time zones.
• Oversee Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Exchange Online.
• Own security across cloud, endpoints, email and identity using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel and Purview.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, threat detection and security incident response.
• Oversee network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi and connectivity across global offices.
• Maintain monitoring and alerting so issues are caught before users notice.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery, business continuity and regular recovery testing.
• Run IT Support to agreed SLAs using ITIL-aligned incident, change and problem management.
• Achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification and Cyber Essentials, and GDPR, POPIA and HIPAA technical controls.
• Run security awareness training and phishing simulations, and assess supplier security risk, including in acquisitions.
• Manage IT suppliers, licensing, budgets and infrastructure costs.
• Support DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure and/or cyber security, with hands-on Azure and Microsoft 365 experience.
• Proven people management and line management experience leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of identity, endpoint and email security using Microsoft security tools.
• Practical experience with backups, disaster recovery and incident response.
• Experience running IT operations against SLAs (ITIL or equivalent), including incident and change management.
• Understanding of data protection requirements, such as GDPR, POPIA and HIPAA.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain risk and technical issues to non-technical leaders.

Advantageous Experience

• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300 or MS-102; CISSP, CISM or ITIL.
• ISO 27001 audits or Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bicep or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Networking experience, including firewalls, VPN, VLANs, SD-WAN and Wi-Fi.
• Experience supporting multi-region organisations or integrating newly acquired businesses.
• Background in healthcare, recruitment or another regulated sector.
