Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be a part of our rapidly growing IT department and join one of our core product teams. In this role, you will take full ownership of product quality, balance manual and automated testing, and leverage modern tools to drive overall quality forward.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated smoke, feature, and regression testing
• Take senior-level ownership of quality processes and product standards across the team
• Review and analyze product requirements for clarity and testability, applying strong product-driven thinking
• Create and maintain test documentation, including checklists and test cases
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
• Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and focus on preventing future issues
• Effectively utilize AI-assisted tools to optimize testing workflows and productivity
• Collaborate closely with developers and analysts to ensure backend services and mobile applications meet quality standards
• Take ownership of the backend e2e test suite: stabilize, refactor and extend it, and keep it green in CI
  Test end-to-end flows across multiple systems (internal services, middleware, external payment and banking platforms) and understand how data moves between them
  Build and maintain stubs and mocks for external systems to make tests reliable

Requirements 

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
• Strong experience with backend testing: APIs, microservices and integrations between multiple systems
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, such as JUnit or Appium
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code) to write and maintain tests
• Experience with proxy tools such as Charles and Proxyman
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best QA practices
• Hands-on experience with manual API testing using Postman or Insomnia
• Familiarity with log analysis tools, including Graylog or Kibana
• Experience with mocking tools, test data management, and working within Agile/Scrum environments
  Experience testing distributed systems and integrations: async flows, retries, idempotency
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Product-oriented thinking with a deep focus on product quality and user experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Capable to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Fluent English language knowledge, both written and verbal

Nice to have

• Fintech, banking or payments experience
• Mobile testing (iOS / Android), Appium, Charles / Proxyman is a plus
