Press Brake Operator (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Pressco Products is a manufacturing and machining company that produces quality machined parts, stamping, fabrication, and assembly of components for the aerospace and defense industries. With its rich 60-year history and new long-term contracts, Pressco is looking for a few key individuals who want to be a part of its continued growth and stability. We are seeking an outstanding candidate who is prepared to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will actively focus on the production of aerospace parts using our Press Brake, and Punch Press machines.

Day shift: option for a 5x8-hour shift or 4x10-hour shift

Job Duties and Essential Functions:

• Operate 17-ton mechanical manual (Di-Acro) Press Brake and 44-ton Press Brake (Hurco) with CNC back gauge machines
• Operate 28–ton – 121-ton Punch Press machines
• Understand steel, stainless steel, and aluminum characteristics for proper bending
• Create quality and accurate bends, folds, and forms according to the blueprints, mylars (PCMs)/drawings, and work order instructions
• Able to set up and run complex forming and bending operations
• Experience and knowledge applicable to set up fixtures and tooling
• Calculate and measure bend allowances accurately
• Understanding of Flat Pattern layout
• Knowledge of press and straightening abilities 
• Follow production schedule and meet deadlines
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Have good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates, blueprints, work instructions and procedures
• Use and understand calipers, protractors, rulers, angle finders, and other measurement tools
• Minimum 2 years of experience (or schooling equivalent); 3+ years of metal bending experience is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking
• Good work ethic and positive attitude
• Excellent attendance and time management
• Stand, sit, bend or kneel for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be fluent in English
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information in accordance with U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).
• High School Diploma or GED

Compensation is dependent on experience and evaluated regularly based on merit and performance. Base wage is $25.00 to $40.00 per hour DOE. Benefits: Paid sick leave, earned paid vacation leave, Medical, Dental, Vision, hearing, Life Insurance, 401(k), EAP, and voluntary supplemental insurance.
