Hotel Woolstore 1888 – Handwritten Collection, part of the prestigious Accor group, is one of Sydney’s most distinctive heritage hotels. Located in the vibrant Darling Harbour precinct, the hotel seamlessly blends rich history with contemporary design, creating a unique industrial-chic experience enhanced by modern and pop art influences.

Originally built in 1888, the property is the fourth oldest of Sydney’s remaining wool stores. Today, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel featuring 90 beautifully appointed guestrooms, a multi-award-winning neighbourhood restaurant and bar, and versatile spaces for meetings and events.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Casual Barista to join our team at Hotel Woolstore 1888.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves coffee, enjoys connecting with people and has experience delivering attentive, personalised table service in an à la carte or café-style environment. You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and locals, serving quality coffee and providing an exceptional dining experience.

With a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, you’ll bring a genuine passion for hospitality and contribute positively to our close-knit team.

• Proven barista experience, with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of coffee preparation.
• Experience providing table service in an à la carte restaurant or café-style environment.
• A friendly, customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage coffee orders and table service efficiently during busy periods.
• A positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a collaborative team spirit.
• Confidence working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
