Content Producer

Introduction
Bigge Crane and Rigging has been elevating America since 1916. With over 1,800 cranes and a coast-to-coast presence, we buy, sell, rent, operate, and maintain one of the largest, most advanced crane fleets in the country. We’ve played a role in building some of America’s most iconic landmarks and earned a reputation for doing it right—with performance, precision, and accountability.
Job Overview
Cranes are massive machines doing serious work, and Bigge puts them to work on major projects across the country. We are looking for a Content Producer to show people how impressive the crane industry really is. You will be on active job sites and in Bigge yards around the country, from major bridges and historic sites to aerospace and EV manufacturing projects, capturing heavy lifts, giant machines, and the skilled crews who run them, then turning that footage into videos people stop scrolling to watch.
This is a hands-on, one-person production role. You will plan, shoot, edit, and publish videos on your own from start to finish, run Bigge's social channels, manage paid social advertising, and report on what is working. The marketing lead sets the content calendar and helps plan the messaging of each video. The shots and production are all yours.
You do not need crane or heavy equipment experience. We will teach you the industry. What you need is a great eye, strong editing skills, and the drive to get the shot.
Equipment
Bigge provides the equipment for this role, including a drone, a DJI Osmo handheld gimbal camera, and video editing software, and will provide additional gear as needed. The full kit is worked out with the new hire after they start.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Production, Start to Finish
- Independently produce videos from start to finish: plan the shoot, capture footage on site, edit, mix sound, add graphics, add captions and subtitles, and export final versions for each platform.
- Work as the only production person on the marketing team, with little outside help. The marketing lead helps plan the messaging of each video, not the shots or production.
- Film on active job sites, at Bigge's yard, and at other Bigge yards around the country.
- Plan shots, shot lists, and interview questions, and coordinate shoot timing and access with job site, shop, and yard teams.
- Conduct on-camera interviews with all types of people, from crews in the field to executives.
- Produce the kinds of videos Bigge makes: heavy lift and major project features, new equipment and Perfect Fleet™ arrivals, crew and employee interviews, day in the life recruiting videos, operator how-to and tutorial videos, leadership on-camera videos, and cinematic crane footage.
- Cut each project into the versions it needs: vertical short-form video for social media, longer horizontal video, short videos for the Bigge website, and versions the sales team can use with customers.
- Capture still photos alongside video on every shoot.
- Fly drones for aerial footage where the site and customer approve it.
- Get the required internal, customer, and partner approvals before content is published.
- Organize, label, and archive all footage so the team can find and reuse it.
Social Media Publishing
- Own Bigge's social channels, including profiles, uploads, titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.
- Publish and schedule content across Bigge's social channels, following the content calendar provided by the marketing lead.
- Adapt as things change. When a job date moves or a new opportunity comes up, adjust the plan and keep publishing on track.
- Prepare captions and post copy, using messaging support from the marketing team.
- Monitor comments and messages and route questions to the right team.
Paid Social Advertising
- Plan, launch, and manage paid social campaigns, including promoting top-performing videos, recruiting campaigns, and equipment promotions.
- Get approval from the marketing lead for all paid ad spend before campaigns go live.
- Set targeting and adjust campaigns based on results.
- Report paid results alongside organic results.
Analytics and Reporting
- Track organic and paid performance across all channels.
- Prepare regular performance reports with clear results, trends, and recommendations.
- Use what performs best, such as video type, length, and opening hook, to shape future shoots and edits.
Qualifications:
Required
- A portfolio that shows video you planned, shot, and edited yourself. A portfolio link is required to apply.
- Proven ability to produce a complete video on your own, from planning through final export.
- Experience creating vertical short form video for social media and horizontal video for longer formats or the web.
- Working knowledge of the major social media platforms, including formats and best practices for each.
- Familiarity with paid social advertising, including targeting and performance reporting.
- Must obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate within 90 days of hire if not already certified. Bigge pays for the exam.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including overnight travel.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather on active job sites and in equipment yards.
- Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once.
Preferred
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate already held at hire, with drone flying experience.
- Hands-on experience running paid social campaigns.
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.
- Motion graphics skills.
- Experience shooting interview or documentary style video.
Skills
- Plan and run a shoot on your own, from shot list to wrap.
- Shoot well-composed video and photos, with solid camera, lens, audio, and lighting skills.
- Comfortable conducting on-camera interviews with anyone, from field crews to executives.
- Capture smooth handheld and aerial footage with a gimbal and a drone.
- Edit video to a professional standard, including sound mixing, color correction, graphics, and captions.
- Edit and retouch photos.
- Format and export video for each social channel and for the web.
- Schedule posts, run paid social campaigns, and read social analytics.
- Keep a large media library organized and easy to search.
Travel and Physical Requirements
- Travel to job sites and Bigge yards around the country about once a month, with more or less travel depending on project opportunities.
- Overnight travel is part of the role.
- Ability to carry camera gear and stay on your feet for long days outdoors in all weather.
Benefits
- Competitive pay and a matching 401(k) plan
- Vacation, Company Holidays, and Sick Days
- Flexible spending accounts/Health Savings Account
- Reimbursement plan for the company Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy

- Consistent publishing that follows the content calendar and adapts smoothly when plans change.
- A steady flow of fresh photo and video footage from job sites and Bigge yards.
- Paid campaigns run as approved by the marketing lead, with clear results reported.
- On-time performance reports with clear takeaways that shape future content.
