Country ETS Manager - Italy

Your mission

Ciao a tutti! We're thrilled to introduce a key role at the heart of one of Europe's fastest-growing utility-scale PV and storage markets: the Country ETS (Engineering and Technical Services) Manager - Italy. Sungrow is the number one supplier in Italy and the Balkans, and you would lead the team that turns every signed contract into an operating, well-served plant.

Curious what this is all about? Let's dive right in:

• Lead, develop and inspire a distributed team of Delivery Project Managers, Field Service Engineers, O&M and Local Service Operation, building a culture of ownership, regular 1:1s and open communication together with Local HR, the Country Manager and the Regional Manager.
• Own the full life cycle of our PV and BESS projects, from contract signature to long-term O&M, covering schedule, scope, budget, quality, acceptance and service performance (warranty, SLA/LTSA, availability and spare parts).
• Grow and manage our regional service partner network, including selection, framework agreements, performance and cost, and better ways of working in planning, HSE, documentation and quality.
• Deliver the regional budget and financial KPIs, keeping a close eye on costs, margins, deviations, provisions and partner spend, with regular reporting to management and HQ.
• Act as senior technical and contractual escalation point for customers and EPCs, lead claim management with Legal, and support the commercial team in supply and LTSA negotiations on scope, SLAs, guarantees and liabilities.
• Guide the resolution of complex field issues (diagnostics, RCA, SCADA and log analysis) and drive efficiency by redesigning data-heavy activities with AI and data tools.

Your profile

All right, all right, that was intriguing, wasn't it? Now, to fit this role and feel at home in it for a long time, your ideal background looks a lot like this:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Industrial or Energy Engineering, or an equivalent technical background.
• 5+ years in utility-scale PV and/or BESS (project delivery, service or O&M), with proven experience hiring, developing and leading technical teams.
• Solid technical understanding of inverters, MV equipment, BESS and SCADA/control systems, with the ability to challenge and validate RCAs.
• Contractual and legal know-how in EPC and supply contracts, warranties, SLAs/LTSAs, penalties, liabilities and liquidated damages, plus experience handling claims and disputes.
• Experience managing service partners and budgets, with accountability for financial KPIs.
• Hands-on working knowledge of AI and data tools (LLM-based assistants, Power BI, CRM), with examples of efficiency gains you have delivered.
• Italian and English at C1 level are required; Spanish at B1 or above is a plus.
• Based in Milan, with around 40% travel across Italy and the Balkans.
