Position Responsibilities

As a Server Assistant at Green Coyote Cantina, you’ll support servers, hosts, bartenders, and the kitchen to help deliver an organized, welcoming dining experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Promptly clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables for incoming guests
• Pre-bus tables throughout service without making guests feel rushed
• Run food accurately using table and seat numbers
• Check plates for correct presentation, garnishes, and accompaniments before delivery
• Communicate guest requests, missing items, and service needs to the appropriate team member
• Support water service and nonalcoholic beverage refills as directed
• Assist with chips, salsa, and other table-service items according to restaurant standards
• Keep service stations stocked with plates, glassware, silverware, napkins, and other supplies
• Roll silverware and complete assigned side work
• Maintain clean and organized dining, patio, and service areas
• Transport used dishes and glassware safely to the dish area
• Help keep walkways clear and promptly address spills using proper procedures
• Assist with opening setup and closing duties
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and other duties assigned by management
• Follow food safety, sanitation, uniform, and workplace safety standards
• Work closely with the entire team to keep service moving efficiently

Great service depends on everyone working together. Our Server Assistants help set the pace by noticing what needs attention and taking action.

We expect our team members to:

• Greet guests warmly and respond politely
• Anticipate needs and look for opportunities to help
• Know table numbers, seat positions, and basic menu items
• Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, the kitchen, and management
• Handle food carefully and follow all allergy-related instructions
• Bring guest concerns or allergy questions to a manager promptly
• Keep tables and service areas clean, stocked, and guest-ready
• Work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and care
• Treat guests and teammates with respect

Schedule & Availability

Applicants should be available for a combination of:

• Weekday and weekend shifts
• Lunch and dinner service
• Opening and closing responsibilities
• Holidays and other busy service periods

Shift times and schedules will depend on business needs and assigned responsibilities.
