Research Communicator _ Graduate School of Education (maternity leave)

The Graduate School of Education (NU GSE) aspires to become an influential, world-class graduate school of education, effecting change in educational thinking, policy and practice at all levels of education through scholarly research, quality teaching and persuasive argument.

NU GSE offers three degree programs: Master of Science in Educational Leadership, Master of Arts in Multilingual Education, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education. Our programs are meticulously designed to prepare visionary leaders, catalysts for change, and influential policy makers equipped to shape the educational landscape of Kazakhstan and beyond.

NU attains an impressive 176 -200 rank in Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2025 in subject "Education", which was based on GSE programs.

The Research Communicator, in collaboration with the Centre Director, staff and researchers, has overall responsibility for:

• building CARCEIT’s online presence nationally and internationally, through multilingual dissemination of research-related content;
• representing CARCEIT to diverse stakeholders;
• creating research networks across the region;
• assisting with the development of Centre policies and procedures;
• assisting with reporting processes;
• liaising with CARCEIT and NU staff, GSE students and alumni, and other stakeholders;

• other duties as required.

Education

Master’s degree in a relevant field. 

Three years minimum or minimum one year with master`s degree in the relevant area.

- Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English;

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of an intercultural team;

- Ability to take initiative and liaise with a wide range of people;

Recruitment and selection process

Recruitment and selection at Nazarbayev University include preliminary selection based on experience and qualifications, followed by assessments and formal interviews. Formal interviews are typically based on organizational values and behaviors and conducted in English.
