Salary - £31,000 - £35,000 + Bonus

We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the General Manager, inspire our team and help deliver brilliant guest experiences.

What's the opportunity?

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub, helping to maintain high standards, develop your team and drive business performance.

• Lead from the front: Motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent service and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

• Help run a busy pub: Support the General Manager with daily operations, leading shifts and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

• Put guests first: Make every visit memorable, whether guests are joining us for a steak, a family celebration or a relaxing drink in the beer garden.

• Drive results: Help manage sales, labour costs, stock and profitability, making the most of opportunities to grow the business.

• Develop your people: Coach and support team members, helping them build confidence and progress in their careers.

• Maintain high standards: Take pride in cleanliness, safety, compliance and the overall presentation of the pub.

• Work as one team: Build strong relationships across the business and create a positive, supportive team culture.

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll have previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, such as a pub, restaurant or similar environment, and be ready to take the next step in your career.

You'll bring:

• A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

• Strong leadership and people-management skills.

• A hands-on approach and the confidence to lead by example.

• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, costs and profitability.

• Excellent organisation and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your team.

📋 Personal Licence

As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager's absence, you'll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don't need to have one when you apply. If you're successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
